You may recall discovering energy in fruit in your own science classes? Here fruit juice giant, Tropicana take the simple science experiment and add the trending consumer desire for natural energy food and the all important media ingredients: street theatre, social media and a catchy little tune… Et Voila!
Sure it’s not a ‘proper’ TV Commercial… but this is the TV Commercial of the future. More engaging, building on facts you know to give a message you want to hear. I’ll say it again. Nice work Tropicana.
Of course, not everyone gets the elegance of this ad … Looking down the comments on YouTube you can see a few individuals crushing this idea suggesting that it’s just not a viable replacement for other energy sources. That all the fruit and electrodes would make it an inefficient way to generate power. Knowing Tropicana, I think this YouTube commentator may have missed the point!
