In my talk, I’ll be addressing the topic of Food Marketing with a view to sodium reduction. Specifically, I’ll be exploring food marketing strategies and labelling requirements for reduced sodium products:

  • Identifying which sodium replacers are classed as additives and which can give you a clean label
  • Successfully marketing products when using additives and to gain consumer acceptance of reduced-sodium
  • Should reformulation be promoted on the packaging, or is a ‘stealthy’ approach better?

Salt reduction is becoming an increasingly important topic in Food Marketing. I’m looking forward to learning exactly how the industry is really dealing with challenge. I hope I’ll see you in Amsterdam!

The world’s most sophisticated flash mob? (24 years on… still going strong! But have you been and is it in your city yet?)

What’s it all about?

At the last minute, the location is given to thousands of friends and acquaintances who have been patiently waiting to learn the “Dîner en Blanc’s” secret place. Thousand of people, dressed all in white, and conducting themselves with the greatest decorum, elegance, and etiquette, all meet for a mass “chic picnic” in a public space.

Over the course of an evening, the diners enhance the function and value of their city’s public space by participating in the unexpected.
Beyond the spectacle and refined elegance of the dinner itself, guests are brought together from diverse backgrounds by a love of beauty and good taste.
Le Dîner en Blanc recalls the elegance and glamour of court society, and diners engage one another knowing they are taking part in a truly magical event.
There are no disruptions: no car traffic, no pedestrian traffic, except for the occasional amazed and astonished looks from passersby at the scene unfolding before them. And we, as they, wonder whether it’s all not a dream…

Born 24 years ago in Paris with just a handful of friends by Francois Pasquier, the Paris Dîner en Blanc now assembles nearly 15,000 people each year.

A thoughtful, insightful, instructive and, at times, moving 20 minutes introduction to the proven benefits of “Power Posing”.

You’ll learn that, “Non verbals actually govern how we think and feel about ourselves”. Now that is a critical learning. It means you can ‘act’ and ‘be’ your way to performance and achieving better results than today, even future greatness.

You see, according to Cuddy et al, feelings and behaviour go both ways. So you can pretend and feel it. We know that our minds change our bodies. But it’s also true that our bodies can change our minds. It works with smiling and happiness. It can also work with power posing and power.
