iPaper – I might never be the same – MUST SEE VIEWING
Jan 2010 02

I’ve long been a fan of the TED Talks, but this one by Pranav Mistry which details his pioneering work into blending the interface our lives share with our computers is beyond exceptional.

Dialing your phone on your hand (literally), airline tickets which update in your hand, physical paper AT ONE with your computer – just watch. My reaction: I might never be the same!

Breathtaking! This really is sci-fi meets your desk – the imagination stretch from the movie Minority Report is brought to live in these two videos. I love it! You’ll be amazed too! A true glimpse into the (near) future…

For me, perhaps best of all was Pranav’s final comment: “Integrating information into our everyday objects will not only help us to get rid of the ‘digital divide’ – the gap between these two worlds. But it will help us, in some way, to stay human, to be more connected to our physical world. And it will help us not end up being machines sitting in front of another machine.”
